The seam zones in Sudan are the strip separating the country of Sudan from the country of the south. Sudan, specifically the poor savannah belt, which extends from South Darfur through East Darfur, West Kordofan, South Kordofan, and southern White Nile to the farthest areas of the Blue Nile. The uniform is characterized by cultural and ethnic diversity.

These regions, like many regions of Sudan, have been constantly suffering from institutional poverty, low development services, and lack of infrastructure, such as health, education, and pure drinking water. The reason for this is due to the neglect that has been practiced by all successive central governments in Sudan towards the seam belt. By depriving it of equitable development despite its natural and human resources. In addition to the lack of development, the contact areas were also characterized by a special situation, as they were the first line where all the civil wars that took place in Sudan took place, represented by the wars in South Sudan, the Nuba Mountains, the Blue Nile, and Darfur, which had a negative impact on the peoples of those areas and led to this. To the lack of security and peace and the destruction of the social fabric among its social components.

Also, the war that broke out on April 15, 2023 further aggravated the situation in Sudan, creating a new reality, thousands of displaced and dead people, and a complete lack of all basic services for life.   

This deteriorating reality.   It requires a major effort based on developmental reform and restoring confidence among the residents of the seam areas.

From these noble principles mentioned above came the idea of ​​establishing the Talam Foundation for Development Relief
